Our History
Tri County Equipment began in 1985 when the Wadsworth family purchased their first John Deere dealership in Sandusky, MI. With the local dealer set to close, we stepped in to preserve access to quality equipment and service for local farmers and property owners.
Since then, we’ve expanded to 11 locations, ensuring that farmers, contractors, and homeowners across Eastern and Mid-Michigan have access to the best John Deere equipment, parts, and service.

1988 – Added Marlette to serve Lapeer, Tuscola, St. Clair & Northern Detroit
2007 – Acquired Caro, Burton, and Bad Axe locations
2008 – Welcomed the Lapeer location
2010 – Expanded with Reese, Birch Run, and Saginaw to better serve Saginaw Valley farmers
2019 – Purchased Mid State Equipment in Fenton
2021 – Acquired Rochester Lawn Equipment in Rochester Hills, MI
2023 – Acquired Munn Tractor in Auburn Hills and relocated the Rochester Hills location to Auburn Hills
