Outdoor Power Equipment Sales Associate – Join the Tri County Equipment Team!
Do you enjoy helping people find the right equipment for their property, hobbies, or small farm?
Are you friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking about tractors, mowers, attachments, or whatever’s sitting on the lot?
If so, you’ll fit right in as our Outdoor Power Equipment Sales Associate!
This role focuses on walk-in customers, retail sales, and helping people choose the equipment that makes their lives easier.
What You’ll Do
- Help Customers Find the Perfect Equipment
- Greet walk-in customers and guide them through available outdoor power equipment, small tractors, attachments, and used inventory.
- Ask the right questions to understand their needs and recommend the best solution.
- Explain features, benefits, and options clearly and confidently.
- Offer demos and help close the sale.
- Stay Sharp on Product Knowledge
- Know the lineup — especially <90hp tractors, implements, attachments, and turf equipment.
- Stay up to date on new products, changes, and competitive offerings.
- Learn financing options to help customers complete the purchase.
- Represent the Dealership
- Keep accurate customer notes and follow a defined sales process.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales area and equipment display.
- Participate in customer events, demos, and occasional field days.
- Take care of assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Support the Store
- Help with used equipment evaluation (if trained to do so).
- Monitor customer trends and share valuable insights with management.
What You Bring
- Knowledge of turf equipment or agricultural practices is a plus
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic internet tools
- Flexible schedule — able to work weekends or extended hours if needed
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills
- Ability to interpret basic sales reports
- High school diploma or equivalent
